Buttons, buttons...who's got the button?

I bought a button maker for a little wedding project. To get practice I've been making lots of random buttons. It's actually alot of fun..might have to set up a little side business! I'll post some pictures of the wedding project later, for now it's a surprise!

Yummmmmmmmm Peanut Butter.....

This time of year something comes out that I LOVE! It's the Reeses Peanut Butter Easter Egg. These have always been a favorite because they pack so much peanut buttery goodness. They started making these for other holidays, but I still think the eggs are my favorite. This year there is a "King Size" which I definitely didn't need...but there is even more delicious peanut butter goodness inside.

Oh, peanut butter eggs I love you. It will be sad, but very needed, to see you go in a couple weeks!

Finger Update

The finger is back to normal size! Still not sure what happened, but it has something to do with arthritis and calcification. Just don't know why it flaired up like it did.

Luckily now I can't be referred to using nicknames that reference tube shaped meat products!!

I got knocked off.

I'm officially not in the lead of the Fantasy Racing league! After this weeks race I was bumped into the third position. I'm not too worried about it. The only bummer is I'm being beat by a guy that doesn't watch or like racing! Is that even fair?

By the way, this was my drawing for the Daytona 500 party on my chalkboard. Everyone told me it looked like a Simpons version of racing!

Shoe Fitting

I went to Fleet Feet for a tennis shoe fitting. I'm going to be participating in an event (more info coming later) and I wanted to be sure that I had good shoes. I was told that I am currently buying tennis shoes a size and a half TOO small! Yikes. No wonder I could feel numb toes on the treadmill. So, not only was I buying bras the wrong size but apparently shoes too! I don't even want to think about what size clothes I would be told I need.

P.S. My feet look HUGE!

Pass me the lamb....

butter that is! I saw this at the food coop and HAD to have it! I'm not even a big butter fan. Yes, I know it's an atrocity but I prefer margarine. I figured I can take this for Easter Dinner. I mean how can you pass up a stick of butter shaped like a lamb? It's going to be morbid though once it gets sliced!

Welcome Spring Table

I found this super cute tablecloth at a thrift store a couple weeks ago. I thought it would be perfect for a spring table motif. I love how happy my table looks now!

More Squirrels???

I was at Target and they had this squirrel feeder on sale. Since I have a love/hate relationship with the squirrels I had to get it. I'm glad I did as it's been quite entertaining. First you have Louie that goes outside and immediately looks in the tree, leaping with all his might to catch a squirrel. I managed to go outside and get really good pictures. They didn't even seem to care that I was there.

My only complaint would be the mess they leave on the lawn. Apparently they only like the inside of the corn. Those picky squirrels!!

Still in the lead!

Just wanted to update that I'm still in the lead on the fantasy racing league!! The positions below me keep changing, but I'm still holding onto a 31 point headstart. Let's hope things don't change this week!

You can call me hot dog finger.....

Sometime during the night I came down with a terrible case of arthritis in my finger. The knuckle had a slight ache for about three weeks and suddenly this morning it was swollen to twice it's size and I can't move the whole finger. I spent most of the day in ER, only to learn that they don't know what's going on. Have to follow up with the Dr. tomorrow for what I'm assuming will be more tests. For now I have a huge finger that I have to keep in splint and have no use of my right hand. Please feel free to send me flowers at home to make me feel better.

Man in the Tree

The cabin that we stayed at in Donner Lake had this really cool face in the tree. I totally love it and now want to find out where I can buy faces for all of my trees!!

Girls Weekend

Had an awesome time this weekend at Donner Lake with "the ladies." It was a weekend full of good food, good drinks, good "cookies" and good company! I'm thinking I could use one of those a month. The cabin was out of this world....right on the lake. I think we all wanted at least one more day!

Allergy season is upon us. Yes...it is only March....but it's in the 70's everyday so Sacramento is convinced it is spring. I must say, so far so good for me...thanks to Astelin! Astelin is the only allergy medicine that has ever worked and I wanted to give it praise.

Thank you Astelin, you fit perfectly up my nose and take all my itchiness away!

Bra Fitting

I'm assuming if I had a male audience reading this at all I just lost them with the title! I for once in my life took Oprah's advice and went and had a bra fitting. I knew my bras sucked, but I didn't know HOW bad they sucked. She was right....I was completely wearing the wrong size. Now I have the right size and if I say so myself my bras look FANTASTIC! People pay for what I have going on now.


All you ladies out there, GO GET FITTED FOR A BRA! Oh, and all you men...keep loving your ladies in their bras!

New home for Maggy

Thought I would give everyone a Maggy update. We found Maggy a good home with our friend Carol's daughter. They have a female bulldog already name Lolly and now Lolly has a big loving sister to keep her company. Maggy seemed to take to it really well and I know her family was really excited about her. I'll miss her, but I know she has someone to love her!!

Save the Dates and Invitations ordered!

So the "Save the Date" and invitations for the wedding have been ordered!!! I have to say that they are AWESOME!!!! Bet you wish I would post a picture of them on here....but no way. You'll have to wait until yours comes in the mail. I hired Rebecki and Sweet Luck Studios for the work on the invites and I have to say she is AWESOME at what she does. Thanks Rebecki!

Fantasy Racing Update

We are now officially three races deep into the fantasy racing season and I'M STILL IN THE LEAD!!! I can't say that I have received the most points for each race, but overall I'm keeping a click ahead. I've never had so many men chasing after me in my life!!

I'm feeling dizzy.....

Let me start by saying that if you have been reading this blog for a while you know that Ray Lamontagne and Damien Rice are my favorite artists. I can't pick a favorite because whenever I see one of them I am in love. Then comes this video! Both of them were in the same place at the same time singing together?! That actually almost makes me faint. I like to watch this video and imagine that I'm sitting in the middle and they are singing to me.

Snowman 2007

One of the things that Bill does best is Snowmen. If there is snow, he will give it his all to get a snowman formed. I usually come in for the decorating. Here's the snowman that we made at Donner this weekend.

I'm sad to inform you that just hours later it's face was blown off with a potato gun. Give some men a gun of any sort and somethings bound to go bad!

Donner Lake

Have a cabin at Donner Lake this weekend. It was the perfect opportunity to play some more with the panoramic stiching on my camera. This picture was the best one yet!

Wedding Dress

I haven't quite decided what I want to do for a wedding dress. I really don't want a "wedding dress" just a cute dress that would fit with everyone elses attire. I was dead set for a while on a shift dress from JCrew, then they released this dress and I am in love!!

Unfortunatley you can't see all the details, but it has a swiss dot pattern and is sheer outer with a lining underneath. I think it is SOOO cute!!! It's on JCrew if you want to check out the other photos.

She watches tv....

So Maggy loves to watch tv. Anything with movement and she is glued. I think she is extremely visual since she is deaf. You can put on a dog show and she will lock on until she falls asleep. She also got really excited over the Liquid Plumber ad. Not sure why this one got her. Guess it was the movement and sparkle of the liquid.

Yummmmmy, Sing Buri

I found a new snack that I LOVE! It's called Sahale Snacks. They are nuts that are seasoned with exotic and delicious blends. My favorite right now (and I admit the only one I've tried) is the Sing Buri blend. This is a combination of cashew, dried pineapple and peanuts seasoned with lemongrass, chinese chili and sesame seeds. Sooo delicious! Sometimes I'm a sucker for the bulletins on MySpace. Today it said to google "Stacey looks like" or whatever your name is. I of course stuck with Stacey. You have to keep the quotes so it will work. My results were:

Can you say, PSYCHO?

I guess when you get engaged you start watching wedding shows. Every once in a while I turn on "Who's Wedding Is It Anyway" on the Style Network. All I can say is PSYCHO! There are just some crazy girls out there that become insane the minute an engagement ring gets put on their finger. The episode I just watched was a "low budget" wedding to the tune of $30,000! Goodness....when did 30 grand become low budget?!

Maggy Update

Maggy got the house and she loves it! Unfortunately Louie doesn't love her. They met at the park and Louie just avoided her, then we got to the house and he wasn't happy to have her here at all.

Louie is now out at his grandparents house. Maggy will go to the vet tomorrow to get fixed and I'm going to ask him about introducing them again and see if he has some recommendations.

Overall Maggy is an awesome dog and LOVES to be loved. She sleeps on the bed with me at night and stays close to me during the day. She's definitely an easy dog to love.

The Knork

I love when I see some cool new product that really makes life easier. I also love seeing new products that seem ridiculous. Hence.....the Knork. The Knork is apparently a fork with a sharper edge to make it easier to eat pizza.

Pizza?

Last time I ate a pizza I picked up the slice and feed it into my mouth. Only hands and mouth required. I could see using this for a steak, pork chop, etc. I prefer to eat my pizza with my hands and on the times that I do use a fork...I've never run into a pizza that is so tough my normal fork wouldn't take care of the job!

Bridesmaid Outfits

They will be wearing it with cuffed denim capris and ballet flats, hopefully polka dot of some nature. They are going to look sooo cute, and be so comfortable!! I love it!
